The Imara Trust Fund is dedicated to creating lasting positive change in underserved communities,  so as to uplift individuals by providing access to education, healthcare, sustainable livelihoods, and a brighter future for all. Through a combination of financial support, community programs, and partnerships, we aim to break the cycle of poverty and create opportunities for growth, innovation, and empowerment.

Founded  in Nov 2004 the Imara Trust Fund envisions a world where every person has the opportunity to thrive regardless of their background, and where communities have the tools and resources they need to build a better future.

Our Vision, Mission, and Objectives

Vision

The vision of Imara Trust Fund is to ensure that poor women and men, youth, orphans, children living in vulnerable conditions, caregivers of orphans, people living with HIV/AIDS, and the elderly lead better lives.

Mission

to transform the lives of vulnerable populations by empowering them, providing skills training, offering microloans for income generation, and meeting their basic needs such as food, clothing, shelter, and school fees.

Empowering Communities, Creating Opportunities

The objectives of the Imara Trust Fund are as follows:

Empowerment of Target Groups

To encourage and empower target groups to work towards achieving shared goals.

Formation of Income-Generating Groups

To organize beneficiaries into groups focused on income-generating activities

Legal and Human Rights Education for PLHA

To empower people living with HIV/AIDS by providing information about their legal and human rights.

Health Education for Youth

To provide reproductive health education, awareness on gender-based violence, life skills training, entrepreneurship, and environmental education for both male and female youth.

HIV/AIDS Counseling and Home-Based Care

To provide counseling services and home-based care for individuals affected by HIV/AIDS.

HIV/AIDS Awareness

To promote awareness within surrounding communities and among people living with HIV/AIDS (PLHA) regarding HIV prevention, accurate information, and safe behaviors.

Community Education on HIV/AIDS

To educate the community on HIV/AIDS, offer counseling services, and promote VCT (Voluntary Counseling and Testing) and CD4 count services.

Partnerships with Like-Minded NGOs

To build collaborations with other NGOs that share similar goals to ensure effective service delivery.
